I really don't plan to buy anymore makeup for at least a month so this should hold me over!

Weekly Makeup Basket

I, like many others, was forgetting to use some of the makeup that I purchased and loved.  One day I was watching Beauty Vlogger Prissyandpink. She shared her weekly makeup basket and I was like "Great Idea!" I have been doing this for about 7 months. Check out her blog! http://www.prissyspinkdiary.blogspot.com/

May 2013 Favorite Products!

Here on the East Coast we had May showers instead of April showers.  After several days of rain my curls because to unravel and fray. As a result, I had to find a good gel to hold my curly twist.  My stylist recommended Fantasia IC Hair Polish. I used it all month, but I sort of have a lot hate relationship with this product.  I love the way it makes my hair feel soft, and it makes my hair look shiny. I hate that it doesn't hold down stray hairs, and the shine doesn't last long. However, I didn't follow the directions on the back of the jar.   It states that you should apply to hair while damp.  Maybe I will follow the directions this month!

Moving on...in early May I finally bought Mac's soft brown eyeshadow to blend out my crease colors.  I have used it everyday since I bought it!  It is just the perfect color to blend up toward my eye brows.  On days I was in a rush (which was most of the month), I used Mally's copper rose shadow stick with soft brown in the crease.  Also, in May, I broke out Mac's Triumphant Blush Fact kit that I got from a CCO last summer.  This kit has my favorite blush which is Melba.  I am used this blush so often over the past year I am surprised I haven't hit pan!
Urban Decay repackaged their hydrating setting spray.  I use it on days I know I won't have time to touch up my face, and it works!  One Friday night I looked at myself around 1:00am...I had makeup on since 6:30am...it looked like I just put my makeup on (I was careful not to touch or lean my hands on my face that day).
I finished my Clinique eye makeup remover.  It was good, but I will not repurchase it because it wasn't worth the price tag.  Finally, I usually end my night putting Lush's Bubblegum sugar exfoliant over my lips, but I ran out of it, so I went back to using Baby Aquaphor on my lips every night.  When I wake up in the morning...my lips are baby soft :)
