Is CoverGirl Outlast Foundation Worth the Hype?

Stay Fabulous in Tawny #nofilter

If CoverGirl Outlast worth the YouTube hype? This foundation formula is also part of the CoverGirl Queen collection.  I had a hard time finding my color in the Queen collection so I bought it in Tawny, but eventually found my color in the Queen collection.  They both perform exactly the same.  The finish on this foundation is matte, but not drying.  The coverage is great.  With both applications, I used one coat.  What amazed me most about this foundation is that I did not need concealer.  I did powder my face on these pics, but since then I have worn it without powder or primer, and it lasted all day! This foundation has SPF 20, but I didn't get a white cast with flash photography:)  I have to say that it's not the best foundation if you have dry skin.  As the weather get colder and my skin gets dry...I will mix it with my tinted moisturizer:) CoverGirl Outlast earned an A+!

Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation Review

Yikes...I need to get my eyebrows and lip waxed!!!!
The Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation went on smooth, was not drying and the finish was natural.  I was hoping the finish would be dewy, because I really want to find a moisturizing foundation for the winter.  The coverage was light, but buildable.  I put on a light coat in this picture, but last week I was able to build it up to a medium coverage.  This foundation lasted all day. I did get hot during the day and my nose was sweating, however, the foundation did not break down.  This is a good everyday foundation for someone who doesn't need a lot of coverage.  It's not a foundation that provides full coverage, and it does not have SPF :( This foundation gets a B-.

Check out the RiRi Holiday Collection!

These RiRi collections have me crazy like the Wonder Woman Collection...I love Beautiful Packaging!

Revlon Photoready Foundation Review

Although this foundation has been around for a while, I just picked it up less than a month ago!  I heard it was a dupe for Makeup Forever's HD Foundation, which I am running low on!  This foundation lasted all day (I did use a primer).  The finish was great!  Not matte and not dewy...just natural...almost airbrush like....the surface of my face w/o noticeable pores looked flawless :)    I really like it because it evens out my skin tone and makes my face look almost flawless.  One con is that it didn't minimize the look of my pores. :(  Yes, there are foundations out there that minimize or cover up pores w/o looking cakey!

CoverGirl Clean Whipped Creme Foundation Review

Tuesday's foundation was Cover Girl Clean Whipped Creme Foundation.  The texture is creamy and looks a lot like the Maybelline Mousse foundation (which I will feature later this week).  Since the name indicates that this is a creme foundation, I assumed the foundation would be moisturizing.  After applying the foundation, I noticed that it is not moisturizing, and it dries to a matte finish.  I wore it over a primer that I am testing, and the primer didn't fill in my pores. The foundation did not cover my pores or blemishes very well.  I put on a second coat, but that didn't help. I like my foundation to be dewy since I have dry skin, however, I don't mind a matte finish as long as it doesn't look dry.  This foundation did not make me look dry, but having a matte finish and poor coverage is not for me.  One thing that really bothered me about this foundation was that it did not last very long.  After about 4 hours, it look as if I never put on foundation!

Coverage after a second coat!

This foundation will work for those with combination to oily skin that needs little coverage.  For me, it's going to be mixed with another foundation that provides more coverage.

L'oreal True Match Review - Monday October 21, 2013

L'oreal Paris describes True Match as an ultra-pure formula with patented color technology.  The foundation is oil free, fragrance free, and contains no pore-clogging filters. True Match comes in about 33 shades ranging from the very light to very deeps shades.  The shades also come in warm, neutral and cool tones.  My shade is W8 (W is for warm).

The foundation last more than 8 hours with and without a primer.  Since my skin is dry, I only used a light dusting of powder to set the foundation.  However, the finish is still matte with and without the powder.  Even though the foundation is oil free, my skin did not feel dry. The foundation is buildable and has light to medium coverage that gives the face a flawless finish.

Unfiltered picture with L'oreal True Match Foundation
I really cannot say anything bad about his foundation.  If you have dry skin use a good moisturizer.  Top 3 positives are:
1. The foundation comes in many shades.
2. The foundation lasts all day.
3.  Foundation provides a flawless semi-matte finish.

This foundation is a great drugstore pick!  The only downside is the price.
